Fingerless mitts to keep your hands cozy when the weather has turned a bit chilly. This pattern is available in three sizes: S, M, and L. For some additional warmth, optional instructions are included to make a fingering weight inner layer to wear along with these fingerless mitts. Please refer to the photo tutorial at the end of the pattern for the trickier parts.
Details
Yarn: one skein of heavy worsted (200 yds/183 m per 4 oz/115 g) or aran weight yarn (181 yds/166 m per 3.5 oz/100 g)
Sample: Divine Yarn Prima Aran in Fan Red colorway (100% Superwash Merino Wool) The sample for the M fingerless mitts used approx. 82 yds/75 m per 1.6 oz/45 g. Sweetgeorgia Yarns in Tourmaline colorway (100% Superwash Merino Wool) used approx. 80 yds/73 m per 1.6 oz/46 g for the S sample and 105 yds/96 m per 2.1 oz/60 g for the L sample.
Unstretched S flat sample measurements: 3 inches across at fingerless opening x 3.5 inches across at thumb level x 2.75 inches across at wrist ribbing x 5.75 inches long
Unstretched M flat sample measurements: 3.5 inches across at fingerless opening x 4.25 inches across at thumb level x 3.5 inches across at wrist ribbing x 5.5 inches long
Unstretched L flat sample measurements: 3.75 inches across at fingerless opening x 4.5 inches across at thumb level x 3.5 inches across at wrist ribbing x 5.75 inches long
Tools needed: 5.5 mm crochet hook, large tapestry needle for weaving in ends, optional 3.5 mm crochet hook to make the inner layer
